June 26, 2009
TLA Members,
At the end of 2008, the Tomahawk Lake Association, Inc. (TLA) Board of Directors unanimously supported a proposal to hire an Executive Director to manage the operations of our organization.
I am pleased to announce that Ned Greedy has been hired as Executive Director of the Tomahawk Lake Association, Inc. effective June 1. Ned will report to me.
This role is imperative to the efficient and effective implementation of TLA goals and objectives. Ned is accountable for Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) management, boater and lakeshore property owner education, membership development, grant writing and volunteer supervision. Ned will regularly report performance metrics to the TLA in areas including:
- Number of members & dollars raised from membership per year
- Number of grant requests submitted & dollars received
- Successful funding from all 4 townships with taxing authority on Tomahawk Lake
- Number of volunteers secured and maintained for AIS efforts
Prior to being named Executive Director, Ned was Vice President and Hydraulic Conveyor System Project Manager for the organization. He has been involved in the fight against AIS, primarily in the development of the Hydraulic Conveyor System. Ned is a graduate of UW-Stevens Point, and holds a B.S. degree in Natural Resource Management.
As you’ll see from Ned’s greeting on the other side of this letter, he is passionate about Tomahawk Lake. He has been and will continue to be an asset to our Association.
Please join me in congratulating Ned on his new role.
Sincerely,
Todd Kavemeier
President
Tomahawk Lake Association, Inc.
